Day 2 of the extended classroom cleaning.

I’m getting there. Mostly because I brought all the files to be sorted through and purged HOME.

Nothing like moving the mess to an entirely different venue. :P

Today, I:

-packed toys
-packed books
-cleaned shelves
-organized the consruction paper
-put away craft files, except when I didn’t and shoved them into the file cabinet beside the right cabinet.
-passed on a bazillion bookmarks to a third-grade teacher who will use them
-threw out trash
-and more trash
-walked to the office and back ten times or more

I managed to delete the message from the new K partner because I thought I already had her number in my phone. I was wrong. Guess whose number was withheld?

Tonight?

I’ve called at least 30 incoming K parents to schedule an assessment time on Thursday or Friday. I only sounded like an idiot for about a third of them. (Wrong language, wrong number, wrong child, wrong ad nauseum.) I’m only halfway done. :P

And now I’m going to drink.

(Where exactly are these teachers who have the summer off?)
