This is far easier than I thought.

Whatever was I worrying about?

I’m still feeling my way through wordpress, but hey, it’s up. It’s working, for some values of work, and I’ll tweak it to my heart’s content over the next couple of days.

Yay!

Plus, an rss feed! Woo! (Now just to get it to work on the LJ account.) And to get some links working.

(Also, did I mention I finished the novel today? Yeah, the monster that’s been breathing down my neck since ’03, when I wrote a chunk at Clarion, is now done.

Well, done until I rewrite it. Quibbling, I know. But done! So done!

As is this blog post. For tree denuding ensues, starting with all the icicles.

Yay for the new wordpress blog! (Also, nice theme.)

You’ve already garnered a comment on the LJ-syndicated feed (http://syndicated.livejournal.com/marsha_sisolak/359.html), which you might want to check every now and then because LJ people do tend to comment only within LJ. Which is one of the reasons I ended up installing the LJ-XP plugin to painlessly and automatically crosspost to my LJ account.

More importantly, congrats on the novel! Enjoy at least a whole day away from it to savour the buzz, won’t you?

Thanks! In the end, it was an easy choice–this one matched my website. *g*

I will definitely look into the LJ-XP plugin. I had not realized there was a plugin like that, so I the rss feed was the only way to go. Oh, well. I can always tell people to not bother with the rss feed subscription, right?

One whole day away from the novel–more like a week! *g* Although I’m not going to open the file, I’m going to find a notebook for my notes of things to fix that I think of!

Hey, welcome to WordPress! I’ve had mine for about a month. I use something to crosspost to livejournal from mine (livejournal crossposter remix.) Also Picasa Image Express and Picasa View (with shadowbox-js if you plan to use a lot of images) make it really easy to use a Picasa account to host images and just move them into posts.
